It may be cold outside, but the summer camp season is already warming up. Here is a list of available camps and their contact information.

ABC CARE INC.
June 18–Aug. 24. Ages 4-14. Offering full day and extended day. Camps are located in Hampstead, Mt. Airy, Sykesville, and Westminster. Information: Kristine Gesuele, 410-751-3700 or abccare@abccareinc.com.

•    ABC Care Cascade Lake Water Camp Ages 5-13 (K-8). Swimming lessons in pool, lake swimming daily, nature and sports activities and arts and crafts. Cascade Lake, 3000 Snydersburg Road, Hampstead.

North Westminster Location
•    ABC Care Explorer Camp Ages 5-8 (K-2). Two field trips per week as well as enrichment activities, arts and crafts and sign language.

CARROLL COUNTY ARTS COUNCIL SUMMER ARTS CAMP
All camps are held at the Carroll Arts Center in downtown Westminster. Explore all aspects of the arts, from theater to arts and crafts projects. Registration forms available at the Arts Council or on the website after March 1 or by phone, with credit card. Tuition assistance available through the Tom Holder Memorial Arts Scholarship Fund. Arts Adventures Ages 8-12, 10 a.m.-3 p.m. daily. Camp Director is Susan Williamson. Full day of arts and crafts and cultural activities. Campers will spend the week drawing, painting and crafting; visit local art galleries and try out handmade game crafts in local parks. $145/members; $160/non-members.

Fun Company Theatre Camp Ages 8-12. 10 a.m.-3 p.m. daily. Camp Director: Julie Herber, Maryland Ensemble Theatre. Activities pertain to all aspects of the theater, from making props and designing costumes to learning to use technical equipment with lights and microphones. Improv games and drama exercises will help prepare actors for the big show that will take place Friday night on the Art Center’s stage.

Creative Kids Camp Ages 5-8, 9:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Camp Director: Sandy Oxx. Campers enjoy sing-alongs, arts and crafts, drama games, special guests, movies and gallery activities. Popsicles, face-painting and walks to the park round out a week of fun, culminating in a performance for parents, as well as the “premiere” of the camp movie. A DVD is sent home with each camper.

CARROLL COMMUNITY COLLEGE SUMMER KIDS@CARROLL
June 25-Aug. 10. Ages 6-14. More than 100 half-and full-day summer enrichment programs that include classes in arts and creativity, cooking, technology, American Girl, Harry Potter, performance digital development, robotics, science and career exploration. CARROLL COUNTY FARM MUSEUM LIVING HISTORY CAMP
July 9-13, Grade 3; July 16-20, Grade 4; July 23-27, Grade 5. Children will experience some of the skills that were necessary for rural farm life 150 years ago. Campers may do chores and work with a blacksmith, dip candles, learn the art of tinsmithing, and make hand-crafted projects. Farm Museum, 500 S. Center Street, Westminster. CARROLL HOSPICE CAMPS

•    Camp T.R. Weekend Overnight Experience June 1-3. Provided by Carroll Hospice, Camp T.R. offers a safe place for children and adolescents to share feelings, ask questions and learn positive coping and grieving skills after the death of a loved one.
