More than 175 baked goods, some going for $1,100 apiece, were auctioned off at the Carroll County 4-H Fair's annual Cake Auction on August 3. Proceeds went to the next annual 4-H Fair.

The Taste of Carroll moved from Antrim 1844 to the campus of Gerstell Academy this year. Approximately 525 people attended the 12th annual charity event, which garnered more than $100,000 for Carroll Hospice. The hospice provides care, compassion and support to patients during the end stage of their lives.
Westminster Woman's Club Celebrates its 100th Anniversary

The Westminster Woman's Club celebrated its 100th anniversary on May 10 with a luncheon for its members and their guests at Antrim 1844 in Taneytown. The organization was founded in 1911 as the Woman's Literary Club. When the group adopted a constitution and bylaws in 1912, members voted to change its name to The Woman's Club of Westminster.
